I love using scavenger hunts in my classroom because it is a great way to get students up and moving around the classroom! This scavenger hunt is great for partner work, early finishers, and as an enrichment activity.
This scavenger hunt contains 26 questions that involve students answering questions regarding geometric transformations. Specifically students will find the image of points and shapes after they have been translated, reflected, rotated, or had multiple transformations occur. In addition, students will state how one shape was transformed onto another shape given the original figure and the image.
1. Hang the 26 questions around your classroom.
2. Distribute the student answer key to students.
3. After answering a question, students search the room. The next question they solve has the answer to the previous question they solved underneath it.

It is a great, fun way to engage your students as they practice math.
