The Surface Area of Prisms, Pyramids, and Cylinder Scavenger Hunt was created for a 7th grade math/pre-algebra classroom for the measuring figures unit. It contains one scavenger hunt which has 20 problems to practice finding the surface area of triangular/rectangular prisms, triangular/rectangular pyramids, and cylinders. Some of the problems has a decimal so students can also practice adding/multiplying/dividing decimals while they work on this task without calculator.
There are two different type of cards. Choose one of them.
1) Cards with alphabet letters
2) Cards with clip-arts
Students can work in pairs or independently. The answer key is included.
7.G.6 Solve real-world and mathematical problems involving area, volume and surface area of two- and three-dimensional objects composed of triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, cubes, and right prisms.
