The Surface Area of Pyramids Scavenger Hunt was created for math lesson for the measuring figures unit. It contains one scavenger hunt which has 14 problems(3 word problems included) to practice finding the surface area of triangular/rectangular/square/pentagonal(base area will be given for pentagonal base) pyramids. Some of the problems has a decimal so students can also practice adding/multiplying/dividing decimals while they work on this task without calculator. They may use calculator for the activity if they show work on a separate piece of paper.
Students can work in pairs or independently. The answer key is included.
7.G.6 Solve real-world and mathematical problems involving area, volume and surface area of two- and three-dimensional objects composed of triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, cubes, and right prisms.
