I often work with elementary aged students who aren’t keen to work on homework, but we know that practice outside the therapy room, as well as an awareness of “their” sound in context, is key to carry-over and eventual mastery.
These scavenger hunts are an opportunity for students to locate their sound/words outside of the therapy room—at home or in the school setting.
Have them read the list in therapy, then send home for them to hunt on their own. They should visually “touch” and say each item they find, check it off their list and write either what it was or where they found it.
Sheets print 2/page in black and white.
