The scenarios below are tiered for differentiated instruction, from the struggling students to the higher achievers and are currently based on the book Avancemos 1 in lesson 2.2. I use these scenarios cards after introducing emotion words used with estar conjugations. I give them 5 minutes to go through the cards. Then we switch colors to next highest group (Low→ Medium, Medium→High) to practice a little more. The highest group comes up with 3 scenarios and you check their scenarios after by having them ask the class.
