When designing lessons for my students who need extra practice in reading comprehension, I find I need several short routine tasks that I can use in small groups or one-on-one instruction. I have focused these activities on putting events in order based on experience and signal words.
This packet contains eight short scenarios and four longer ones where students must put the events in order. The four longer scenarios use common items so that the actions could be demonstrated for a young group of students or students who are still learning English. There is a complete answer key for each activity.
I hope you find these lessons useful in your classroom.
