This is a list of 35 two-action pantomimes that can be used in a variety of settings. They can be used for beginning theater students, to introduce non-verbal communication, as an ice-breaker, etc. I've used these with students as young as 4th grade all the way through high school.
Print a copy, cut them into strips and let students draw. It works best to put them on card stock and keep them in a pencil can. Give them 30 seconds to mentally prepare and have them perform their actions in a non-verbal way. The other students can try to guess the two actions they are performing. This requires students to really consider what they have to demonstrate to communicate with their audience.
Comedy mask (smiling) - easier
Tragedy mask (frowning) - more difficult
