Schedule cards are the perfect way to help your kids visualize their daily routine. I've found my kids crave structure and they have less meltdowns when they know what to expect. They're also more obedient and cooperative when asked to clean-up toys, do their homework, help with dinner, get ready for bed, etc. because they know it’s part of the routine. I’m not saying things always go smoothly, just that having structure helps us rein-in the tantrums and power struggles. (Most days!)
To help us stay on track I created this fun visual chart using original handmade felt images. It includes the following daily task cards:
book (reading or scriptures)
books (stack of)
feed pet (generic)
laundry (basket of clothes)
laundry (put away)
play with toys
school or homework
yard work (rake)
and a blank card to customize
You can see thumbnail-size images of these cards by clicking the preview.
If you find a need for a card not listed, you can request custom cards HERE
Cards come in convenient 4x6 format--easy to load to your favorite photo center for quick printing, or print at home on heavy paper and laminate for increased durability. By special request, a smaller 2x3 version of each card has also been included in download.
