This bingo game is designed to help adult language learners become more familiar with the requests that their child’s school will have of them. From registration materials, like utility bills and birth certificates, to the day-to-day communication about lunch money and warm clothes for recess, the engaging use of this vocabulary will help parents learn the English they need to communicate better with school personnel.
There are ten different boards, but all include the same 16 words. Students write words from the word bank under the appropriate image on their board before playing. With lower level English speakers, the caller can use language frames such as “Do you have a passport?” and with more advanced speakers try more complex language like, “I’ll need a copy of your passport before you go.”
This game is a Word Document so that buyers can switch out vocabulary or graphics to more appropriately serve their populations of students.
