Use stickers to help children learn whether or not it is a school day or home day for them. This visual schedule helps children learn predictability and routines in their week. Can be used at home, school or both to help children dealing with separation issues or difficulty managing a differing schedule.
If your child only goes to school on a few days, simply copy the chart twice. You can cut out the pieces you need and tape them to the chart so it reflects your child's schedule.
I typically use stickers or magnets (if you are hanging on the fridge) to mark off the days. You can laminate the chart or use clear contact paper. I sometimes keep the back of the stickers on and use painters tape so I can re-use the stickers many times.
