Christmas Themed Expected Vs. Unexpected Behavior AND Social Skills Cards for the School Environment:
24 Behavior & Social Skills Scenario Cards to Help students decide whether a behavior is expected or unexpected inside the classroom, lunch and recess time.
-Have a discussion with your student/s about what “expected vs. unexpected” behaviors and social skills mean and provide a few examples
-Cut out each card
-Place cards in a box, hat, etc. and have students take turns pulling out a card (*make it a Santa hat or stocking for some extra Christmas FUN!)
-Students (or teacher) read the card out loud and the student has to decipher whether the stated behavior/social skill would be considered an “expected” or “unexpected” behavior
-For a follow-up question: when an “unexpected behavior/social skill” card is read, ask the students “what could that person done to make an ‘expected’ behavior/social skill instead?” or “how do you think that student feels?”
Students get to have fun seeing what Christmas picture they get while learning!
Have fun and Merry Christmas!!
