Included in this packet is an adorable interactive book that your students will keep forever! Also included in this packet are "A Message to My New Teacher" book ( a fun way for next year's teachers to get to know your student), a fun writing and craft activity for the students to write about their travel plans or what they wish were their travel plans , and other fun activities to keep your students busy with end of the year fun!
Pg. 3-4 Front and Back cover of school – copy off the patterns onto red cardstock or red construction paper. I used cardstock for all the pages of the book because I felt they were stronger and more likely to last over time. This was a book I wanted my students to have as a keepsake.
Pg. 5 outer school door and steeple – copy onto red cardstock or construction paper – attach the steeple to the top inside of the school house
Pg. 6 windows – copy onto light blue cardstock or construction paper
Pg. 7 the white inner paper for the windows and door – glue onto the cover of the book and then add the red door and blue windows on top by gluing them only along the left edge – fill out the information – the student can draw themselves or add a picture behind the door
Pg. 8 bell for steeple – fill out the year, cut out, and glue to the steeple
Pg. 9-12 Something I will Always Remember –copy onto white cardstock or construction paper (I did all the inner pages on white cardstock- add either the long or short hair – glue to the top of the head so that it can flip up – add the bows to the pigtails
Copy hair pattern onto various colored hair paper
Pg. 13 Fun Facts to Remember – fill out, cut out, and add to the backside of the first page
Pg. 14-15 Best Field Trip Ever – fill out information – copy the bus onto yellow cardstock or construction paper -cut out the bus and glue it to the top of the “bus writing area” on the paper
Pg. 16 Some of My Favorites This Year – fill out, draw pictures, cut out, and add to the backside of the second page
Pg. 17-20 Friends! Copy cover of Friends book onto colored copy paper – copy pages A and B back to back – cut down the center to form 2 books for 2 students – staple in the middle –glue the back cover of the book onto the center area of the Friends Page
Pg. 21 Fun Facts About Me – fill out, cut out, and glue to the back side of the 3rd page of the book
Pg. 22 Snap Shots! Illustrate and label the pictures
Pg. 23 What I loved About My Teacher This Year – fill out, cut out, and glue on back side of the 4th page of the book
Pg. 24-27 Catch a Falling Star… cut out the “Pocket full of wishes for Next Year” pocket and glue it onto the pocket page – glue only sides and bottom to form a pocket – fill out and cut out stars – place them in the pocket – copy the pocket pattern onto color of your choice – copy stars onto yellow or white paper

Pg. 29-30 Illustrations of completed work – this is not a project that can be completed in one day – it’s better to do a little each day – punch holes in the pages and tie with ribbon for the finished product
Pg. 31-34 A Message For My New Teacher – copy pages A and B back to back – a cover for girls and a cover for boys – Fill out and make sure their new teacher gets it!
Pg. 35-38 Pack My Bags! I’m Heading to… - copy pattern for suitcase and handles onto brown construction paper – copy off inner white page – fill out, cut out, and glue into the suitcase
Pg. 39-41 Things I Want to Learn This Summer – a foldable book – have students write down words from their spelling dictionary or word wall that they would like to practice reading and spelling over the summer – they can write down 4 hard fact families that they want to practice as well
Pg. 42-44 Thank You Note – have the students write a thank you note to a classroom helper or another person in the building to thank them for the help this year – copy pages A and B back to back
