I use this chart with non-verbal students or students with language difficulties who experience a lack of motivation or refusal to go to school. In the morning, parents show the student the chart and the student picks a preferred activity they would like to do when they successfully arrive to school. The parent can then use the motivating activity to help the student transition to school in the morning, reminding them of the activity that will happen. When the student arrives to school, the activity is completed right away. This document can be edited to include the student's picture and favorite activities!
