It can be difficult to deliver assessment results in a way that parents can easily understand. We went to school for 7+ years to learn about psycho-educational assessment, and we are expected to summarize them in parent friendly language.
I always found myself explaining where children fall in terms of percentiles, as that is what most parents are familiar with. I would say, "if you lined up 100 kids, your child would perform better than 45 of them." So, I decided to make a visual that I can use for each meeting and actually show parents where their child is performing.
The normal curve has 100 kids in it, and the table below is where you can move the little stick figures (I know, I'm a great drawer) to show a profile.
Enjoy, and as always, let me know if you have questions or if something doesn't work right. :)
