A vocabulary jigsaw is a fun group activity that I used often to review vocabulary, or to review for an exam. They take awhile to put together, so I am happy to share this resource with others.
This activity is designed for use with ESL students and struggling readers, but I used it with students of all abilities. This particular jigsaw was used in an ESL class with several students who spoke no English. There is one clue in each group of 4 students that uses pictures instead of words so these non speakers can participate. This jigsaw reviews the following terms:
1. book bag
6. loose-leaf paper
10. printer paper
What you get:
4 pages of clues (one for each student in a group of 4)
The Answer Key
Directions and notes for how best to make this activity work.
