Looking to use story problems in math centers? These story problem mats are perfect for math centers! They are very basic addition story problems. It’s a fun way for kindergarteners to practice story problems during centers.
How I use this packet:
I laminate each mat as well as the instruction page and example page to post at the math center.
My students like to use the names of the kids in their class so I also laminate a class list. Sometimes I just provide name cards and matching student photos on a ring of the children in the class.
Students can use the names of their classmates in the story problems or they can also just make up their own names.
I put the mats in my math center and the students use dry erase makers and dice to complete the story problems.
This packet can also be used to make a Class Story Problem Book. Each students gets their own page and uses their own name in the story problem. After all students complete their page, the pages can be compiled into a class book
