I created this Powerpoint show for some of the lower functioning students I serve. Many of these students use a picture exchange system as a means of communication. I use this powerpoint in conjunction with Boardmaker pictures to identify and express prepositions in a fun way. If needed, I often use the Boardmaker pictures at the bottom of the page as a prompt and fade that as the students become more proficient at naming the positions. I have uploaded the presentation version so that you may tweak it if needed. You can cut and paste Boardmaker pictures onto each slide as needed. I also use videos as a reinforcer for most of my students. The last two slides are for that: Slide 17 has applause and audio that says "Way to go! You finished your work! Let's listen to to some music!"; Slide 18 is a big PLAY button. You can add a hyperlink to it so that when you click it, it will take you to Youtube to play a designated video. For this one, I use The Wheels on the Bus by the Learning Station on Youtube. Of course, you could add whatever video you like. Please see my free instructions for hyperlinking videos in Powerpoint. If you would rather not have the last two slides, please feel free to delete them from your copy. When you save the Powerpoint to your computer, in order for it to play correctly, you will need to save it as a "Show" instead of a presentation. I recommend saving it as both, that way if you need to modify it to personalize it for a particular student, you can always go back to the presentation to do that. (You cannot make changes to a show.)
***The adorable clipart I've used on this Powerpoint is from a website called MyCuteGraphics.com by a super talented lady by the name of Laura Strickland. Please check out her cute clipart!
