A set of six informative writing posters that could be hung up in every classroom in your school, regardless of the subject.
Our school and district have adopted an initiative this year focused on improving writing in all subject areas. So as a team, we were trying to think of ways to improve writing across the curriculum. We realized that science, social studies, and even math teachers often require writing from their students, but they don't always feel confident teaching students to write (in the same way that I wouldn't feel confident teaching students to solve calculus problems, since that's not my area of expertise). So the teachers from other subjects suggested that it might be helpful have some decorative posters with reminders about basic writing skills that are important in all subjects.
We are hanging these posters in every classroom and in our "Cyber Hall" student work area with the hopes that it will improve the quality of writing in subjects other than English.
These could be blown up as large, full-color posters, or they could just be printed on card stock and passed around as handouts during writing assignments. But the idea is to use them school-wide so teachers in all subjects start using a common vocabulary when it comes to writing.
Our staff is excited to implement this, and I hope it can be of some use to your staff, too.

Enjoy, and be sure to write a review!
