Are you looking for a great beginning of the year or end of year bulletin board idea!

Are your students interested in taking "selfies" and using hashtags? I designed this bulletin board as a way to highlight some of my students' favorite memories from their school year using this popular trend. They could also write all about themselves and use it to introduce themselves to their classmates at the beginning of the year.

Students design a cell phone - they draw a favorite moment from their school year and then using either a blank template or various boy or girl head templates that I have provided, they put themselves in the picture. After they design their cell phone there are writing templates provided for them to write about the moment they have chosen.

Included are the following:

Three options to help students with different drawing abilities.

blank cell phone template

blank head template

four different boys head templates

four different girls head templates

four boys and four girls heads already in the cell phone. Students would only have to add a face and color the background.

Writing templates containing popular hashtags

Popular hashtags which can be cut out and attached to the bulletin board

A sign that says "School Year Selfies".
