Many teachers (like me!) post learning targets to help students make sense of what they are doing and what they are trying to achieve. There are also a variety of expectations that we can teach our students that will lead to their success in school. I have created these “School and Classroom Expectations Posters” for this very purpose!
“School Expectations Posters” can be printed and posted in multiple places throughout the school. It is important to teach and practice each expectation with all students at the beginning of the year, and several more times throughout the year. These posters include expectations for: Arrival, Dismissal, Cafeteria, Recess, Bathroom, Hallway, Lining Up, Staircase, Assembly, Office, and Nurse's Office.
“Classroom Expectations Posters” can be printed and posted in your classroom, and referred to at the the beginning of corresponding lessons. Another idea would be to laminate and attach magnets, so you can post on your whiteboard depending on the lesson. These posters include expectations for: Morning Routine, End-of-Day Routine, Snack, Test-Taking, Whole-Group Lessons, Independent Work, Partner Work, Group Work, Music, PE, Library, Laptops, Computer Lab, Independent Reading, Partner Reading, Word Work, Carpet, Guest Teacher, and Guest Speaker.
I have included ONE editable page, as well!
If you like them, please check out my sets of “Scholar Targets” and “Friendship Targets” in my TPT store!
