Kids (and adults) learn language so much better with pictures! It makes the language relevant and easier to remember.
This is a PowerPoint of basic school supplies that can be edited. It contains 16 slides total of pictures of school supplies like paper, pencil, scissors, etc. and the Spanish word for the item. It also has two slides with a list of classroom commands like "Saquen un lapiz." and "Abren los libros."
Lastly, I added a slide of just pictures for practice. I use this slide to test understanding by pointing to a picture and asking the kids to identify the item in Spanish.
I also play a game with the kids by putting the slide up on the screen and one student on either side. Then when I call out an item, the first student to point to/slap the correct picture wins a point for their team.
The PowerPoint can also be printed off and used to make flashcards or a study guide for students.
