This is a set of activities - like brain teasers and puzzles - that students have to solve for the "school scavenger hunt".
This is how you should arrange it:
- Make groups of 4 or 5 students, and assign a colour for each group.
- Print the cards in each colour.
- Place the cards - hidden, maybe? - in each of the school places: music room, computer room, gym, etc.
- Make sure you trace a different tour for each group! All of them will start in the English classroom and finish finding the last card which leads them there back again.
- Start the game!
I used this as a self-assessment activity for the school topic with second graders (ESL students)
The activities they have to solve include maths (addition and subtraction with and without carry over), puzzles, basic grammar review, letter order, sight words review and riddles.
I hope you find it useful for you too!
