Product Description
Rather than have my students write book reports, I have them do creative projects within a certain genre study. This assignment is for our science fiction/fantasy unit. Students choose a book within the genre that they wish to read, and they create a project based on the book. The project is a map, containing many of the elements of fiction.

Included are photos of some of my best student examples, instructions on how I introduce and facilitate the project, and the project handout/instructions that I give my students. The students also receive a rubric which you use to grade their projects.

I've included PDF copies and Word 2007 copies of both files.
