Unit 1: Weather

Earthquakes: Quiz and 2 Easy/No Mess Experiment
This unit includes easy to read text about earthquakes, a quiz, and 2 experiments.
Experiment 1: Stimulate an earthquake with a cardboard box, string and paperclips.
Experiment 2: Can your structure withstand an earthquake?
Using marshmallows and toothpicks students will build a structure and place it on a foil pan of jello. Reflection sheet to record results.
Unit 4: The Solar System
This unit on the Solar System includes a 2 page test, and expository text about the Earth's rotation, revolution, the sun, the inner and outer planets, and the moon. Each text has a quick check question that follows. It also includes an Order of Planets printable and a Solar System Flip Book for students to create.
Unit 5: Phases of the Moon
Add on to Unit 4: Students will learn each phase of the moon, by making a flip book of the phases
