PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

These are the daily reviews I created for morning work to go along with each of my six science units: weather/water cycle, space, light, sound, simple machines, and ecosystems.

Here is the detailed information about each set. (These can be purchased separately, as well.)

Water Cycle/Weather
This is the morning work I created for my class to complete throughout our water cycle and weather unit. In the beginning, they will utilize their resources to research the answers. As we progress through the unit, students could complete this on their own as a review. This could be used as a preteaching, homework, morning work, daily review, centers...the possibilities are endless!

Skills Covered:
~water cycle (identification and explanation of each step)
~water (three main states of water and how the molecules act and look during each)
~temperatures at which water boils and freezes (Fahrenheit and Celsius)
~weather tools (identifying each instrument and explaining the use for each)
*anemometer, barometer, thermometer, wind vane, rain gauge*
~weather forecast (identifying the symbols and knowing what each would mean for the near future)
*high pressure, low pressure, warm front, cold front, precipitation, temperature*
~climate vs weather (How are they alike? How are they different?)
~clouds (identifying and sketching each & telling what type of weather they bring and what they are made of)
*cumulus, stratus, cirrus, cumulonimbus*

Space
This is the morning work I created to go along with my space unit. This will last two weeks. Each day students will encounter questions about planets, ordering (size, from sun, moon phases), stars, moon phases, and seasons. There is also a section for a reflection after Friday. You could use this as morning work, home work, or class work. This could also be used as an extension (Let them research the questions!) or remediation.

Skills Covered:
~Planets (characteristics, order from the sun, and order in terms of size)
~Stars (colors, sizes, constellations, compare/contrast between stars and planets)
~moon phases (8 main phases-Draw and label certain phases or what will come next.)
~seasons (How and why do we have seasons? They are asked to draw and explain.)
~day/night cycle (create a model to explain)
~technology (What has helped up study space?)

I started using this a few days into my unit. If students did not know the answer, I encouraged them to use their resources to discover them! You could use this as a pre-teaching tool, during your unit, or as a review after your unit or before any end of year tests.

I hope you find this helpful! Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for your classroom!
