Distance Recording Sheets. The first two sheets are specific to paper airplanes, where students will design their own planes and test them first alone, then with a partner. They will then write a concluding statement on why they believe their plane performed as it did. The third sheet has students creating their own objects with your own chosen materials. Examples could include, lined paper, newspaper, tape, glue, rubber bands, Popsicle sticks, etc. From your stack of materials, they will create an object, and will then test their objects alongside their entire class!
Gravity Recording Sheets. They first sheet is blank, allowing you to choose your own set of materials for the kids to each choose from to create two separate objects each with. They will record their items and make predictions on which will fall faster, and then test/record conclusions. The second-third sheets have students again creating their own objects (just one this time) from your own collection of materials. They will test their objects for the “fastest to fall” and the “slowest to fall” in the class and will then write why for each.
A Science Center sheet to print and use as a display, for if you choose to use any of these as a fun and engaging center!
