key words: biology halloween activity, science halloween
In this activity, students create a class "Frankenstein"- which is basically all the student's traits collaborated together.
This is one of my favorite things to do for Halloween in Biology class (though it can be done year-round!)
Warning: This takes planning and preparation!
You will need a roll of LARGE paper as one of the traits for Frankenstein is height (and we do actual size!) The students are randomly assigned genes #'d 1-23 (if you have more students you could add more traits OR assign two students the gender to make 24).
Optional: Not only do they have to contribute their very own phenotype, but they have to make their corresponding DNA based on the specific phenotype they are (it is all in the table for them) using my paper model found here
