Digital images are an essential part of scientific research. In this lesson students will learn how to complete an image mark up (taking an original image and labeling important concepts). If you missed the first lesson, (taking scientific images) "Click Here."
The basic principle is that students create unique digital products that demonstrate their learning. This lesson is designed for one class period with access to a computer. You can use your own images or the image provided with the lesson. As students work to create their example, you will unlock new learning opportunities. For example, I often use this skill to have students identify and label basic parts of insects that they collect in the field.
