This is a bundle of 15 worksheets and 15 KEY's - 30 pages total.
***Updated 3/3/17: I've now added 5 quizzes and keys to the bundle. Each quiz covers a set of 3 daily reviews - I've selected random boxes from three to compose the quiz, and each document is labeled to show which reviews that particular quiz covers (1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15). 40 total pages now!
Each day, at the start of my science lesson, I have my students complete one row of a Daily Review Worksheet as a warm-up. I have these run as worksheets for my kids to keep in their folders, and I also display the Review worksheet on my SMARTboard. The sheet is designed to give a spiraling review of science material taught thus far, especially material they may find problematic. Since 5th graders in Virginia are tested on both 4th and 5th grade Science SOL's, it's important to revisit all previous SOL's frequently.
This particular bundle include 15 worksheets and their KEYS, covering all 4th and 5th grade Virginia Science SOL's: SOL 4.1-4.9, 5.1-5.7. (This is a completely different bundle than the exclusive 4th grade Science Daily Review bundle - while some questions may be repeated as part of the spiral review, the sheets themselves are totally different. You can purchase both bundles without replicating the sheets.)
*Note: My school district has a 5th grade Science Pacing that orders the units as follows- 5.1, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 5.7, 5.2, and then 5.3. If your school district uses a different pacing, then this bundle may not work because each progressive worksheet has review columns with previous material according to my pacing. With each progressive sheet, there is a review column that spirals previous 5th grade material to keep it fresh in mind, as well as a 4th grade review column that cycles through all 4th grade SOL's.
Below is an outline of SOL's covered on each worksheet:
#1: Main Skill: 5.1, Review columns: 4.2, 4.3
#2: Main Skill: 5.4, Review columns: 4.4, 4.5
#3: Main Skill: 5.4, Review columns: 4.6 (both columns)
#4: Main Skill: 5.5, Review columns: 4.7 (both columns)
#5: Main Skill: 5.5, Review columns: 4.8 (both columns)
#6: Main Skill: 5.5, Review columns: 4.9, 4.1
#7: Main Skill: 5.6, Review columns: 5.1, 4.2
#8: Main Skill: 5.6, Review columns: 5.4, 4.3
#9: Main Skill: 5.6, Review columns: 5.5, 4.4
#10: Main Skill: 5.7, Review columns: 5.6, 4.5
#11: Main Skill: 5.7, Review columns: 5.1, 4.6
#12: Main Skill: 5.7, Review columns: 5.4, 4.7
#13: Main Skill: 5.2, Review columns: 5.5, 4.8
#14: Main Skill: 5.2/5.3, Review columns: 5.6, 4.8
#15: Main Skill: 5.3, Review columns: 5.7, 4.9
I hope you find this as useful as I have - my kids always struggle to remember the those key SOL facts that are hit hard on the big test. After I have completed a set of 3 worksheets, I give the appropriate quiz for a grade. These Daily Reviews keep the info fresh in their minds.
These would be great warm-ups at the beginning of class, but you could also use them as homework assignments or even as individually graded assignments.
