To effectively teach science vocabulary it is key to have a creative organized system. Here it is! I introduce six new vocabulary words each week. I give the students a blank vocabulary form that fits perfectly in their interactive notebook. We discuss and use prior schema about what they already know and copy the definitions and draw pictures. They start each week off with definitions and pictures they colored. My students refer back to this page throughout the week as we discuss concepts for the unit.
For slower learners I give the version with the definition written out.
Three different versions per unit included.
