Their local streams, lakes, and watersheds have become littered with human debris and plagued with harmful chemicals. The water has become unsafe to use for recreational purposes, and the local plants and animals have died or moved to cleaner waterways. The town wants YOUR help to fix the local water!
Students use their critical thinking skills, and their knowledge of two text structures (Cause/Effect and Problem/Solution) to solve Smalltowne's Water Pollution Problem in this exciting and engaging unit!
Students will identify the causes of the water pollution in Smalltowne, then research possible solutions to stop the cause of the pollution.
