A+ Science
A+ Science is an exciting science program developed for students who are in primary school. In each one-hour lesson students complete a science experiment. The science experiments help the students understand important concepts and allow them the opportunity to discover something completely new. The class discusses the experiment and students complete a laboratory write-up. Students have fun as they learn to focus, explore and investigate, and reflect and interpret. All the science activities are exciting - some are messy, while others are impressive! Each experiment allows students to develop new skills as they form predictions and make observations. No matter where students’ interests may lie, they will learn something very interesting!

Lesson
The downloaded lesson includes a detailed lesson plan for the teacher and an experimental write-up handout for students. Each experiment and write-up is planned around a one-hour timeframe. The experimental write-ups make use of the following headings:
1. Title
2. Aim
3. Hypothesis
4. Materials
5. Procedure
6. Observations
7. Conclusion

Goals
With the guidance of a teacher at school and/or a parent at home, it is expected that students will complete science experiments and write-up the experiments. The overall goal of the science program is to allow students an opportunity to make predictions, determine how actions have consequences, identify solutions, explain properties, measure data, and analyze observations. The experiments have been selected with the intent of:
• exciting the students
• showing the importance of science
• demonstrating a positive view of science education
• allowing the observation of science in action
• doing hands-on experiments
• developing inquiry skills
• engaging in the element of curiosity
• attaining a positive attitude towards science
• discussing technology, energy, resources and climate change astronomy
• engaging with both the physical and biological environment
• increasing vocabulary of the world around them
• engaging in hands-on and minds-on type of science,
• motivating students and teachers to learn and to immerse themselves in science

Teachers
A+ Science lessons may be taught by qualified teachers or by parents or guardians. Those teaching the program should attempt to make the lessons as exciting and motivating as possible. Students will learn best if teachers are patient, kind, caring and understanding; and promote active learning in student centered lessons.

Acknowledgements
Experiments have been sourced over the internet from some of the very best science websites available. Experiments that are simple to conduct and teach an important lesson have been included in A+ Education’s science curriculum.
