This form is designed to let your students practice the scientific process in a clean, straightforward manner. The two pages, when copied back to back, form a tri-fold pamphlet that will allow your students to record an experiment of their (or your) choosing in the same style that they will be asked to do during a Science Fair. Each section of the tri-fold is a step in the process that your students will no doubt need to become familiar with while working in science class.
There are no experiments written in on the tri-fold. Just blank space, which is fabulous because nothing has been predetermined! Let your students come up with their own questions, design their own experiments, and put what they have learned to use! Let this truly be inquiry-based for the students! OR you can guide them through the process with an experiment of your choosing. Either way, the students will become more familiar with the scientific process and its requirements.
This free download includes pictures of assembly, as well as a scoring rubric and checklist.
Because the lines for writing are small, I would recommend this be used in 4th grade and higher.
