Looking for fun and engaging science experiments and demonstrations to use all year long? Then this is the perfect classroom resource for you!
I am so excited to share the children of W.A.T.T. Valley with you!!! This brand new series has been years in development, and the characters you will meet in W.A.T.T. Valley have been thoughtfully designed to provide your students with inspiration and encouragement!
This W.A.T.T. resource pack centers on the adventures of Scientific Sadie. These are excellent resources for use in collaboration with other W.A.T.T. Valley learning materials, however they are also excellent stand-alone elements for encouraging your students to develop important critical and investigative thinking skills, applicable in both classroom and real-world settings.
Scientific Sadie knows the importance of exploring and experimenting! It is through these investigative activities that she expands her critical thinking, as well as her questioning and analysis skills.
Sadie’s classroom experiments are designed to foster a love for science and discovery in all students. These experiments are provided in the hopes that inquiry becomes an integral part of your classroom experience! These experiment pages are also suitable for sending home so that parents may try these explorations at home with students as well! Please be aware that some of these experiments require adult assistance and supervision.
This packet also includes various scientific observation forms. These are appropriate for learners of all ages. Younger children may respond with simple words and pictures, while older students may respond with complete paragraphs and detailed illustrations. These pages are great for inclusion in student science logs or science journals. Sample cover pages for such journals have been included in the appendix as well.
A few other goodies are included in this resource also, such as classroom posters and coloring sheets illustrating the steps of science project design, the scientific method, and science safety tips. These are perfect for classroom display or inclusion in student science journals.
Hubble said, “Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure Science.” Enjoy these resources as you learn, explore, and take part in the great adventure of learning with your own students! Shannon
