All activities are classroom tested and include creative handouts, information sheets, detailed instructions, and templates!

This creative and engaging package of resources includes the following:Science Fiction Genre Notes: Detailed notes on Science Fiction. A blank note table for students to record and organize their notes is also included.

Elements of Literature Notes: Detailed notes on Elements of Literature are included. A blank table for students to record ad organize their notes is also included.

“Dark They Were and Golden Eyed” Questions: A detailed set of questions to go along with this classic Ray Bradbury story are included. Summary cards also included!

“Dark They Were and Golden Eyed” Before and After Chart: Students use this chart to illustrate and describe before and after photos of the main character in the story. Students love this activity, and it gives them a fun way to focus on the changes the main character experiences while on Mars.

“All Summer in a Day” Questions: Detailed questions to go along with this short story by Ray Bradbury are included.

“All Summer in a Day” Paper Bag Book Report: Students love this creative project! Students decorate a paper bag with information about the setting and characters from the story. On the inside of the bag, students include and describe symbols from the story. These make gorgeous classroom displays when hung on the wall! Cool templates included! It can also be easily adapted to use with other short stories or novels!

“Of Missing Persons” Questions: Detailed questions to go along with this fantastic Jack Finney story are included. Don’t have a copy of the story? It can be easily found in public domain with a simple Google search!

“Of Missing Persons” Travel Brochure: Students create a travel brochure to visit beautiful “Verna”, as mentioned in the story. Students must include detailed pictures and information about the planet and those who live there. These make gorgeous wall displays! Templates and all needed handouts are included!

“Rain, Rain, Go Away” Questions: Questions to go along with this Science Fiction story by Issac Asimov are included. Don’t have a copy of the story? It can easily be found in public domain with a simple Google search!

“Rain, Rain, Go Away” Before and After Chart: Students use this chart to illustrate and describe before and after photos of the main characters in the story. Students love this activity, and it gives them a fun way to focus on the changes the characters go through as the story progresses. Great when completed by itself, or when compared to the similar chart included for Ray Bradbury’s “Dark They Were and Golden Eyed”.
