Product Description
This is an expandable guide about the planets of our solar system! Guess what? There are TWO versions!

See the VIDEO PREVIEW: Planets to the Max Activity

Using two sheets of legal paper (8.5x14in) this foldable will fold up to fit onto a single page in a composition notebook. Compact and easy to use, this foldable (BOTH VERSIONS) will display all eight planets and their facts... planetary motions, the Moon, the Dwarf Planets, and other celestial objects (asteroids, meteoriods, and comets) have their own section on this foldable.

Version One has a detailed Space Exploration Timeline as part of the foldable.

Version Two, rather than the space timeline, the story of Galileo and his discovery of the four largest moons of Jupiter are displayed. The Earth's Moon section has be moved below the Galilean Moons, and the Sun and it's information is displayed where the Moon was in the first version.

All facts about the planets were obtained from reliable websites like https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/planets/.

TEST: Our Solar System, Space Exploration and Gravity

The best approach that I've used to complete this activity:
Each topic... the PLANETS... the SUN... the MOON... the GALILEAN MOONS... MOTIONS of the solar system... takes two to three days each to introduce and practice understanding with other activities. So, what I do is staple these UNCUT pages together - then, throughout the week... maybe a week and a half, students work on this gradually. At the end of the period, they turn it in (with their names on it). The next day, I pass it back to the owner. This continues until it is complete. THEN and only then, do the students cut it out, fold it up, and glue it into their journals. After that, it serves as a study guide!
