I found it frustrating when I found a great lab I wanted to do with my students, but it didn't come with a way for me to assess the students' knowledge of the lab. Also, it was equally frustrating to find labs that didn't follow the scientific method I spent so much time teaching at the beginning of the year.
I wanted one consistent template I could easily edit and use for every lab throughout the year.
This is what I came up with to use, and I made it even more user friendly for you!
When you purchase this, it will be a word document. Anything highlighted in yellow, you should change to match the lab you are doing (example- the lab title, and the spot where you ask questions pertaining to the lab)
Also- you can have your students write as much or as little as you wish. For example- I may type up the vocabulary words, but students are to write definitions of them in the box to use. I may or may not include the procedure typed up. I may include a table for students to use in the notes section to record what is happening in the lab (or leave it blank for them to draw)
