This is a simple introductory worksheet that will help students understand acceleration (change in speed and/or direction)
TEK 8.6B Differentiate between speed, velocity, and acceleration.
Starting at the tree, the students will read the description and decided whether it is describing a situation in which an object is accelerating (speeding up, slowing down or changing directions) or not. They will then follow the arrow with the correct answer to the next description. The students can color in the arrows and apples as they complete the worksheet or simply draw a line that follows the correct path. Apples can only be used once. They will continue solving problems until they reach Isaac, where the secrets of the universe will be revealed to them or he will just offer you an apple.
For any word not used you can have the students define them on the back of the worksheet for bonus points to be used at your leisure. (Missing assignments, test, projects or other types of assessments)
Not all of the apples are used (or are they) in the maze to prevent students from just guessing the route.
An answer key is included to help with grading.
