This is a worksheet meant to help kids understand which season of the year it is based on its location in relation to the sun.
TEK 8.7A Model and illustrate how the tilted Earth rotates on its axis, causing
day and night, and revolves around the Sun causing changes in
Starting at the U.F.O., the students will see an image of the Earth revolving around the Sun, using the attached key, the student must determine which season of the year it is on Earth. Encourage your students to go slowly, paying close attention to the answers in each arrow, as the seasons are expressed for both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. I recommend projecting the key for the class or printing out a key per table/group to save paper. Once they have an answer they can then follow the arrow to the next asteroid. The students can color in the arrows and asteroids as they complete the worksheet or simply draw a line that follows the correct path. They will continue this until they reach Earth where they will then be able to use their advance technologies to take over the planet.
Optional: For any image not used, you can have the students identify them on the back of the worksheet for bonus points to be used at your leisure. (Missing assignments, test, projects or other types of assessments)._
Not all of the asteroids are used in the maze to prevent students from just guessing the route.
An answer key is included to help with grading. You must also use the Northern and Southern Hemisphere key to find the answers to the worksheet.
Previews are available so that you can see what the worksheet looks like to make sure it is a product you would like to use and enjoy.
