This is a worksheet meant to help kids understand the time of day based on where the sun and moon are located in the sky.
TEK 8.7A Model and illustrate how the tilted Earth rotates on its axis, causing
day and night, and revolves around the Sun causing changes in
Starting at the U.F.O., the students will see an image with either the sun or the moon in the sky. Based on this clue, they will follow the arrow with the time that most accurately represents their position to the next asteroid. Please express to the kids that only a full moon can help you judge what time of day it is and that it is challenging to do so with the other phases of the moon. .The students can color in the arrows and asteroids as they complete the worksheet or simply draw a line that follows the correct path. They will continue this until they reach Earth where they will then be able to use their advance technologies to take over the planet.
Optional: For any image not used, you can have the students identify them on the back of the worksheet for bonus points to be used at your leisure. (Missing assignments, test, projects or other types of assessments).
Not all of the asteroids are used in the maze to prevent students from just guessing the route.
An answer key is included to help with grading.
Previews are available so that you can see what the worksheet looks like to make sure it is a product you would like to use and enjoy.
