Your students will love to use their scientific observations skills when they have a special place to observe throughout the school year. Whether you have a creek on your campus, some trees along the perimeter, or have a location off campus that you can visit, your students will love to see first- hand how the world around them changes through the school year. Students find a spot outside that they can observe through the year. They will use their 5 senses to see how the weather and plants and animals change as the seasons change. These “Special Space Journals” will be ready made for the entire school year including a 5 point grading scale and a “How to Observe Like a Scientist” page for students to refer to. I hope you and your students have fun observing this the year.
