This resource should be used to introduce the science process skills to students. Included is 15 pages of activities, stations, foldables and interactive science notebook input and output pages.
The six process skills are introduced by having students work collaboratively to match skills to definitions. The word and definition cards can be printed, cut and laminated for use each year.
Once the skills matching has been completed, students can record definitions and create a visual for each skill in the Skills Foldable. Print out the foldable pages front to back and fold along the lines to create a shutterfold foldable. Have students glue the science process skills definitions in the ISN on the opposite side of the shutterfold foldable.
Practice using the science skills with the science skills stations. Create a booklet by copying pages 8 to 9 front to back. Have students complete the tasks at each of the four stations and record responses in the booklet. The booklet should be glued in the ISN, glue in the skills questions on the page opposite the booklet in the ISN.
