This is a two-page worksheet about comets, asteroids, and meteoroids. The first page is an informational text (approximately 600 words long) defining comets, asteroids and meteoroids and explaining where they come from. The second page has an illustrative diagram and crossword covering key terms and vocabulary which are highlighted in bold within the text. There are fourteen clues total. For example:
Clue: The flash of light that we see as a meteoroid burns up in the atmosphere.
Clue: A frozen chunk of ice and dust which appears to have a bright tail when it nears the sun.
Clue: The ______ cloud surrounds our entire solar system.
