This purchase is for a collection of 10 science reading minute articles that cover a variety of science related topics. Great for science, language arts, or reading classes and a perfect "warm up" assignment to start class while you handle attendance or other items.
The articles are each 1 page and designed so students can read them in 2-3 minutes. Each article comes with 5-8 questions that focus on everything from key vocabulary terms used in the article, to seek and find, to thinking beyond the article.
I use these reading minutes weekly for warm-ups. They're great for class discussion and take no more than 10 minutes for students to complete. Reading minutes are also ideal for a simple form of extra credit or a homework assignment that can be finished quickly on the student's time.
The 10 Articles included in this collection focus on:
Hottest Temperature on Earth
Coldest Temperature on Earth
World's Highest Skydive
New Exercise Guidelines
Elephants Predicting Weather Patterns
World's Fastest Tornado
Woman with Pencil in Her Brain
Iceland Volcanic Eruption
Hawaii Volcanic Eruption
Besides the article and questions, this collection includes enlarged versions of each article designed specifically for classroom color projection in case you would prefer to use the articles to generate classroom discussion.
Thank you for your purchase and for taking the time to leave me positive feedback.
