This science review is an easy way to get your students ready for a science test and the Common Core Standards while communicating with others, writing, moving about the room, and using academic vocabulary in complete sentences. It incorporates many cooperative learning structures and GATE Depth and Complexity icons are embedded into the lesson; however, this review is meant for ALL students.
Including 15 review questions, students will need to discuss and differentiate between scavengers and decomposers, decay, nutrient recycling, compost, dams, biodegradable objects, rain forests, zero waste, and how people affect ecosystems.
This lesson was designed to accompany Houghton Mifflin's California Science textbook/practice book, but it is not necessary to have the book to complete the lesson (as long as students have been learning about the topics mentioned above). Don't have the book? Why not use this review as an internet hunt/search?
Teacher instructions are also provided with detailed descriptions about how to perform each of the structures included in the lesson.
This is also part of a larger bundle which includes 2 other lessons. You can see it by clicking the link below:
