This is a set of 24 task cards with QR codes based on the Virginia Science SOL 5.5 (Living Systems). Questions cover cell parts and functions, characteristics of animal vs. plant cells, animal groupings (vertebrate, invertebrate), and plant groupings (vascular, nonvascular). Each card has a QR code on it - the kids simply scan with a device using a QR reader, and a question pops up on their screen. My kids LOVE doing these with our school's set of iPads. Even if you have access to just a few iPads or other QR compatible devices - this is a great idea for centers / stations. I suggest printing on cardstock and laminating for long-lasting use. You can use at the end of each unit to informally assess their readiness for that unit's test, or at SOL Review time.
