After I took a science safety course recently, I realized just how important science safety is in the classroom. Even if you are just using a beaker with water in it, you must wear safety goggles.
I created these posters in hope that students will recognize and follow common safety rules in the classroom. These posters are geared towards middle school students.
There are 10 posters in all, and the rules are as follows:
-Read all directions before you begin the lab.
-If in doubt, ask your teacher!
-NO horseplay in the lab.
-Never eat, drink, or taste anything in the lab.
-ALWAYS wear safety goggles and proper clothing when instructed.
-Long hair must be tied back.
-Wash hands before and after the lab.
-Never look directly into a test tube.
-No running in the lab.
-Never use broken or chipped glassware.
