4 Fun STEM Challenges
1. STEM: Straw Challenge
Your challenge is to build the tallest free standing structure out of 50 straws and masking tape. The tower must be constructed of only straws and masking tape. The straws can be interconnected directly by sliding one end into another straw. The straws may be bent.
The masking tape can’t be used to secure the tower to the floor or a table

2.STEM: Create a Birthday Present
You are invited to a friend’s birthday party. You do not have any money to buy a present. All you have are the materials given to you. Create a toy to give to your friend.

4.Can your structure withstand an earthquake?
Using marshmallows and toothpicks students will build a structure and place it on a foil pan of jello. Reflection sheet to record results. Bonus: Unit on Earthquakes included!
