This is a bundle of the first six of my science Think Tanks. A think tank is a 4 part center that is made to last four 45 min-60 min sessions to complete. They have 4 parts: Read, Recall, Create, and Extend.
There is the teacher info sheet (with a link to the reading resource I use in class if available) that includes TEKS covered, skill to focus on, teacher instructions and materials needed, followed by the student instruction page (2 versions: one with the reading typed in and one blank so you can fill in what you want them to read.) and any graphic organizers or other needed pages.
Each Think Tank is centered around a specific science concept and re-enforces it through language arts skills. Students read a selection, recall information by using a graphic organizer or answering questions, then they create some type of product to show what they know. This is followed by an Extend section where they take there product or concept to a higher level. The instructions are written so students can complete them in groups without teacher intervention so the teacher can be fully focused on a small group of kids during the same time.
Included in this set are:
Weathering and Erosion
*Save by buying the bundle! It's like getting the 6th one free!
Texas Science TEKS are listed, but also follow common core standards.
