Science Trivia Game: Periodic Table of the Elements includes 32 general chemistry trivia questions. Students fold a piece of paper in half four times and number the resulting boxes #1-32. Science Trivia will have students find a certain box number and record the answer to the trivia question in that box. After the question round, answers will be given.
Game includes a variety of general chemistry questions including atomic structure, identifying elements based on fun facts, and naming elements from mystery pictures and atom models.
This game can be utilized in many different ways including before the chemistry unit and after as a review tool. It is a good way for students to assess prior knowledge before the unit and assess what was learned after the unit.
It can also be used as a fun end of the year activity and doesn't have to be linked to an actual chemistry unit. It can be a fun way to see what students know about the periodic table and elements!!
Optional: You can provide a copy of the Periodic Table for students to use as they are playing the trivia game.
